The bonnets, in the Regency era, were different depending on the use and the time of day.
Cloth caps (cotton, linen, silk ...) often combined with straw for the summer months, were typical for the day: a ribbon allowed to tie them under the chin. For the most elegant occasions, or for the evening, they could be adorned with dried flowers, in fabric, or with feathers.
The bonnets, on the other hand, usually do not bind with ribbons, but with ribbons and laces it can also be adorned abundantly. Still in fabric, it rests on the hair and collects braids or buns inside it, leaving a crown of curls (natural or curled with iron) around the face.
I made these hats using vintage fabrics, ribbons and trimmings and adorning them with cockades, roses and feathers. completely handmade, 1/12 scale
